The CBS Sport Summer Party 2010

Saturday the 19^th of June, 70 CBS Sport members met at Marskensgade at Østerbro to celebrate the summer arriving, and to support the Danish football team in their World Cup game against Cameroon.

The Party Crew decorated the room in Danish colours and had made sure that a delicious summer buffet was set up for dinner. During dinner the Party Crew had prepared the usual Awardshow, this time for floorball, basketball and handball. You can see who won the awards here.

At 20:15 the tables where cleaned very quickly, and a big screen was prepared for the match. All the CBS Sporters gathered around the screen with Danish football shirts, hats and Viking helmets. The atmosphere was clearly intense, nervous and excited.

To make the atmosphere even more intense, the big screen wouldn’t work properly the first 10 minutes of the game, which almost made us miss the Cameroon-goal. Fortunately thereafter it worked perfectly, and with songs, cheers and true Danish spirit, we supported the Danish football team through a very important 2-1 victory!

After the game, we were all in a great mood, and our very own CBS Sport Volleyball player Hans-Peter Mogensen (HP) was the DJ for the night, and he did an amazing job!

The party ended at 03:00 am, and it took the Party Crew almost half an hour to send home the last twenty happy dancing people.

The summer party was a huge success, and we can’t wait for the Christmas party in November! A huge thanks to the party crew for all their work on the party, and a big congratulations to all the award winners – and of course the Danish football team for making the party even better with a victory.
