KPMG – Principal Sponsor of CBS Sport

The Board of CBS Sport is very pleased to announce that KPMG is our new principal sponsor. The partnership with KPMG is an initial agreement between the two parties, starting from the 1^st of October and lasts until the 31^st of December 2008, however with an option of a two-year contract extension. KPMG will support CBS Sport financially and according to the agreement KPMG and CBS Sport will build on the relationship through different activities where CBS Sport members and KPMG employees will meet and interact.

I reached Adam Kayser, Chairman of CBS Sport on the phone today and he explained: “We (red. the board) have all been working very hard the past year in being able to secure the future of CBS Sport. Our new partnership with KPMG is helping us a lot in doing so. Not only will the financial support give us the chance to improve the organization by hiring an administrative co-worker, we are now also able to launch a new homepage that will play an important role for the future of CBS Sport.”

CBS Sport was officially established on March 30, 2006 when the first General Meeting took place at Sidevognen, Dalgas Have. One can still find three of the principal organizers as members of the board. Head of Handball, Christine Wibro says: “I have been a part of CBS Sport from its beginning and I am very happy and proud of what we have achieved so far. The sponsorship with KPMG is a step in the right direction in that it will give us more working space to fulfill our dream of being the best choice for all CBS Students when it comes to sports. Hopefully KPMG will realize the benefits of the partnership so that we can sign a long term contract with them from the 1^st of January 2009.”
